Helmet maker of the UK Police for two centuries, Christys’ stands as the original pioneer of quality British hatcraft. It’s Homburg worn by Marlon Brando’s Don Corleone in ‘The Godfather’ a testament to the appeal. The cult of Christys’ is recognisable throughout cinema, fashion, music and politics, amassing an eclectic lineup of wearers from Winston Churchill to Kate Moss, Indiana Jones to Brad Pitt.

Christys’ was and is a company with an eye on the future and, whilst methods have remained largely unchanged and heritage is of utmost importance, it is the ability to transcend trends that makes Christys’ hats as sought after as ever.

Almost all the felt hats currently available on the website are handmade in the UK.
The only styles they do not make in the UK are the tophats, bowlers, safari and chepstow. These hats are still hand crafted using methods purveyed by Christys’ in their overseas factories.

On the site several hat types are featured: Bowler, Fedora, Trilby, Caps and more formal products such as top hats. Personalisation is possible on some products and a wide range of colours and styles are available.
